Slow Cooker Chicken Tacos

Hi! Welcome to Sarah Kate’s! Today’s recipe is a super easy slow cooker chicken tacos! I am not a huge slow cooker user, but this recipe is amazing! This is perfect for throwing together before work and coming home to something ready to eat.

Ingredients

  • Chicken Breast (I use two cause that’s what feeds us but you can add more as long as you don’t over crowd or stack the breasts)
  • 2 16 oz Jars of Salsa (I used mild)
  • 16 oz of Chicken Broth
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Taco Seasoning
  • Cilantro
  • White Onion
  • Lime
  • Soft Small Taco Shells

Add your chicken breasts, one jar of salsa, and seasonings to your slow cooker. Refill the jar with chicken broth and pour over the chicken. Add another half jar of salsa on top of your chicken. Put your slow cooker on high and leave till later that evening.

*I put my chicken breasts in at 7:40 PM and shredded around 6 PM. So about 10 hours. If you put your chicken breasts on late, just shred a little later. I shredded a little early for our dinner time, so I just turned the slow cooker to warm until we were ready to eat*

After around 10 hours, your chicken should easily shred with tongs. Add your chicken to your tortillas with onion, cilantro, and fresh squeezed lime! Enjoy!
